District mathematics coach provides instructional design, professional learning, and coaching to teachers to support and enhance classroom instruction in math standards. This position follows a 225 day calendar.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be qualified for this position an applicant must possess certification in math, extensive professional learning in mathematics instructional frameworks, and experience designing and leading math instruction for teachers. Official transcripts, and any professional licenses and all test scores required to validate education and licensure eligibility must be provided.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous instructional coach experience in math, with the ability to work with and adult learners
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and administration
- Professional development experiences including courses or workshops on math instruction
- Evidence of leadership and good interpersonal skills in working with both colleagues and administration
- Evidence of adaptability, problem solving, organizational and record keeping skills
- Extensive understanding of math standards
- A personal commitment to self-reflection, learning new skills, and acquiring new knowledge
- Georgia Leadership certification
- 5 years teaching experience
