This position will provide clerical support for Dalton High School's main office.
Qualifications:
- Receives visitors and parents, handling requests and providing appropriate information.
- Assists with correspondence and responds to communication from district personnel, parents of students, and community members.
- Attendance at appropriate training sessions as assigned to ensure current technology tools are used effectively and consistently in the district.
- Receives incoming mail and responds as appropriate or distributes to appropriate staff member.
- Receives incoming calls and responds or forwards as appropriate.
- Prepares and/or compiles reports of supervisor.
- Maintains files as required by supervisor.
- Communicates with other schools as needed.
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks while offering expert customer service.
- Excellent organizational, filing, and record-keeping skills
- Willingness and ability to learn new tasks quickly
- Ability to complete assigned tasks effectively, efficiently, and correctly.
- Ability to focus on repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail and accuracy
- Assists customers, including district staff, vendors and community
- Supports substitutes and schools through daily management of AESOP.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Work and Excel.
- Must be bilingual.
Preferred Qualifications: Spanish fluency - speak, read, and write.
Work Schedule: This position works 200 days.
