Special education teacher with current professional certification in Early Childhood Education and Special Education General Curriculum Consultative to serve exceptional students in an inclusive classroom. Responsibilities include assessing and documenting students' communication skills, functional reading/math skills, educational/behavioral development; identifying appropriate and individualizes educational goals; collaboratively implementing classroom teacher’s instructional lesson plans; maintaining documentation of student progress; and utilizing appropriate instructional techniques based on individual student needs.
To be qualified for this position an applicant must possess a current and valid professional educator's certificate in Early Childhood Education and Special Education General Curriculum by June 30, 2018. Official transcripts, professional certification, and all test scores required to validate education and licensure. Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
- Experience teaching special needs students
- Ability to differentiate instruction collaboratively with the classroom teacher
- Experience completing required documents (IEP)
