ESS Paraprofessional- General Education Curriculum

General Description:

The person assigned the duties of ESS Paraprofessional will be responsibl­e for working with students in the general education setting. The ESS Paraprofessional will support the classroom teacher in establishing a positive learning environment and promoting maximum student independence in all assigned tasks. Strong technical and computer skills are preferred, in addition to effective communication skills, and an appreciation for collaborative communication and learning.

Qualifications:

Associates degree or higher; or at least sixty (60) semester credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education; official transcript required to validate education; ability to effectively attend to the needs of high school aged students/small groups in the classroom under the direction of a classroom teacher and school administration.
